Modular propulsion

Fleetzero completed successful testing of our modular propulsion platform, vessel autonomy, and camera vision systems. Tests were completed aboard Fleetzero’s test ship, the Pacific Joule (pictured above). Below is a photo of the Leviathan modular propulsion system in a containerized format.

  • True cell-to-cell thermal runaway and fire prevention are provided by Fleetzero’s proprietary passive fire prevention system.

    Densities are provided at the DC system level (module + string + pack).

  • Leviathan modules are scalable for systems sizes from 200 kWh to hundreds of Megawatt-hours of energy storage.

  • Optimized for high-energy and zero-emission operation of large vessels.

    Configurable for high-power applications with high C-rates when installed with our liquid cooling system for use in peak-shaving operations in large vessels or primary or backup power for tugs, work boats, CTV, and ferries.

  • Designed by mariners and engineers from the world’s best automotive EV companies, Leviathan incorporates the best automotive EV technology but is fundamentally built for the unique challenges and requirements at sea.

    Designed and tested in accordance with ABS, DNV, RINA, Lloyds, and ClassNK rules.

  • Leviathan contains no nickel, manganese, or cobalt, making it one of the most sustainable batteries in the world. We chose our battery chemistry to minimize the impact of mining and sourcing raw materials.
